1. Open the Reel and copy its public link. Use the video’s own URL, not a profile or collection.

3. Read the result and use Copy transcript. Check names and numbers against the Reel before quoting them.

Read the opening while listening to your Reel. Check negations, names and numbers, then replay any section where music overlaps the voice. A neatly formatted sentence is not proof it was heard correctly.

A spoken caption and an on-screen label can differ. This tool reads audio only: text shown silently on screen is not included. It does not create subtitle files or invent timestamps.

The free Instagram transcript includes spoken words in their original language and a copy button. It does not rewrite, translate or summarize the speech. Three requests are available per visitor over a rolling 24 hours, with additional limits for shared networks and total service capacity. Failed requests count toward that limit; retrying the same request during that window does not use another slot.

Use a public instagram.com/reel/ link or an accessible video post. Share links must resolve to supported public media. Private accounts, Stories, photo posts and videos that require login cannot be transcribed. The free tool supports downloadable MP4 video with AAC audio, up to 30 seconds and 20 MB.

Public visibility is not a guarantee that Instagram lets Karmo retrieve the file. A blocked or expired download produces an error, not a guessed transcript. Background music, overlapping speakers and quiet speech can reduce accuracy.

Do I need an Instagram account or a Karmo signup?

No. The free form uses an accessible public link. It never asks for Instagram credentials.

Can I transcribe a Reel in another language?

Yes. Karmo asks the model to preserve the spoken language. Review dialects, names and unclear words against the original audio; it does not automatically translate.

What if there is no speech?

A video without an audio track returns no spoken words without an AI call. Music-only audio may also return an empty transcript. That is a valid result, not a reason to invent text.

Are free results saved to my account?

No account is needed. Public-video transcripts are cached temporarily to avoid processing the same audio again. Paid analysis creates a separate saved result in your workspace.
