Karmo legal
Terms of service
Effective and updated November 3, 2026
These terms apply to Karmo’s website, free transcript forms, paid workspace, and tools used through connected assistants. By using Karmo, you agree to these terms. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Service and eligibility
Karmo analyzes accessible public Instagram and TikTok videos, transcribes source speech, explains creative structure, and generates and revises scripts using a saved creator profile. It does not publish posts, manage social accounts, retrieve private messages or account analytics, or bypass access restrictions. A public post may still be unavailable to our processor.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into these terms. If you use Karmo for an organization, you must have authority to act for it.
2. Your account and connected assistants
Provide accurate account information, protect your login, and contact support if you suspect unauthorized access. Keep your creator profile accurate because it guides generated scripts.
Approving an assistant connection lets that assistant read your saved analyses and transcripts, create analyses that spend credits, and revise saved scripts. Authorize only connections you intend to use. You can revoke them in your workspace’s Connected assistants section. Revocation stops future authorized access; it does not erase results already returned to the assistant or cancel your subscription.
3. Credits and tool effects
A new video analysis costs 11 credits, including processing and the first script. Retrieving a transcript or structure using an owned saved analysis ID is free. Supplying a URL to either retrieval tool creates a complete new analysis and costs 11 credits, even if you only ask to see its transcript or structure.
A script revision costs 1 credit and replaces the current saved script; revision messages and snapshots are retained. A new URL with additional rewrite direction can cost 12 credits: 11 for analysis and 1 for revision. Repeated URL requests can create new saved analyses and spend credits again. Reuse a saved analysis ID when possible.
Credits are service usage units with no cash value. Failed processing triggers an attempted credit refund. If a result says the refund is unconfirmed, contact support with its reference before retrying. Successful processing consumes credits even if you dislike the creative result.
4. Subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds
Paid workspace subscriptions are purchased through a payment provider’s secure checkout on the Karmo website. The price, currency, taxes, billing interval, and applicable payment terms are shown before purchase. The assistant connection uses your existing Karmo entitlement and does not initiate checkout or sell a subscription within the assistant.
Starter includes 100 credits and Pro includes 300 credits per monthly billing cycle. The balance resets to the plan allowance on renewal rather than adding unused credits to the next cycle. Subscriptions renew until canceled. Use Manage plan in your workspace to open the payment provider’s customer portal and cancel future renewals or manage available plan changes.
Cancellation, expiration, or payment failure can disable paid processing and remove unused credits when the subscription status changes. Check the effective date shown by the payment provider. Canceling a subscription does not delete saved content or your account. For payment errors or refund requests, contact support; mandatory refund and consumer rights under applicable law remain available.
5. Your content and permissions
You retain any rights you hold in the content you submit. You give Karmo permission to retrieve, process, store, and share that content with the providers and authorized assistant described in our privacy policy to deliver the service. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to Karmo.
Submit only content you are authorized to process, including any personal information in a video or creative brief. Public availability does not itself grant permission to copy, adapt, or republish someone else’s work. Karmo does not grant rights in source videos, music, brands, likenesses, or third-party material. You are responsible for permissions and for reviewing output before use.
6. Acceptable use
Do not infringe rights, impersonate people, mislead viewers, violate platform terms or applicable law, bypass request limits or access controls, submit malware, or access another user’s data. Do not send payment card details, health records, government identifiers, passwords, API keys, or other secrets in video requests, profiles, or rewrite instructions. Use the designated sign-in and hosted payment flows for authentication and payment.
7. AI output and third-party services
Transcripts, timings, scores, analysis, and scripts may be incomplete or incorrect. Hook scores and creative explanations are model assessments, not measured retention or verified performance. Output may resemble other generated content; originality, exclusivity, ownership, copyright protection, reach, and engagement are not guaranteed. Check facts, claims, permissions, and suitability before publishing.
Karmo uses third-party services to deliver its features and process payments. AI providers may use submitted content and generated results for model training and improvement as described in our privacy policy. Connected services have their own terms and privacy practices. Karmo is independent of those services, and a connection does not imply their endorsement.
8. Ending use and data requests
You may stop using Karmo, revoke assistant connections, and request account or content deletion by emailing support. Subscription cancellation, assistant disconnection, and data deletion are separate actions. Our privacy policy explains retention and deletion limits, including copies already held by an assistant provider.
We may restrict or suspend access to address misuse, security risks, legal requirements, or nonpayment. Where practical, we will explain the restriction and how to contact us. Access restrictions do not remove your mandatory consumer or data rights.
9. Availability and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Karmo is provided as available, without guarantees of uninterrupted service, error-free output, fitness for a particular purpose, or third-party availability. You remain responsible for decisions and publications based on generated content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
10. Changes and questions
We may change the service and these terms. The effective date appears above. Material changes affecting existing accounts or subscriptions will be communicated through the service or account email with notice where required. Contact support@trykarmo.com about these terms or a dispute.
